I am currently looking for models in the South Puget Sound, Washington area – Tacoma, Olympia, Gig Harbor, Puyallup.
Modeling is a learning experience. If you’re interested in exploring how you would act and feel in front of the lens of a professional photographer, consider giving modeling a try. It’s a way to learn more about yourself.
I cast models here primarily to license these images as royalty-free stock through stock agencies. You can see examples of my stock images on Stocksy. Stock images are used for a wide variety of purposes, including advertisement and story illustration.
What I am looking for in a model:
I am looking for both male and female models of all ages. If you’re under 18 years of age, I would need a signed permission (a model release form) from your parent or guardian. I am especially interested in shooting non-caucasian and older folks, as they are under-represented in stock photography.
For stock agencies, I am interested in street people photography – portraits of people in their everyday life.
Most photo shoots are one to two hours long. This allows me enough time to shoot in one to two different locations, but won’t make you tired.
What I ask of a new model:
You do not need to have any modeling experience to model for me, just be excited to try it and be comfortable in front of the camera.
I prefer to meet with a new model a day or more ahead of the shoot to discuss the shoot, answer any questions and get to know each other. This is also a good time to let me know if you have your own creative ideas.
I would need you to sign a model release form, which gives me the official permission to license and sell images with you. You can see the model release form here.
What I offer my models:
After the shoot, I will send you edited images from the photo session for your personal portfolio. You will also have fun!
I frequently go up and down the West Coast between San Francisco, California and northern Washington and come to New York City and Alaska once or twice a year. If you’re interested in modeling but are not in my current city, contact me if you would like me to put you on the list for your city. I will let you know when I plan on visiting it.
